Fairly Disappointed with Exabytes

The Golden Bull Award receiver WOR…

Congarz to them for winning the Golden Bull Award, must be a great company with great service ya!
Alright! Let’s purchase a domain from them.

Thursday Midnight 230am : Purchase completed.
Friday Morning 830am : Confirmation from EXXX.
Friday Morning 12pm : Confirmation from Mynic for Domain Purchased
Friday Afternoon 330pm : Confirmation from Mynic Domain Registered

Questions pop up in my head…
How I going to setup the nameserver?
No email or manual showing me how to do this.
What’s the control panel URL?

Hm… Maybe I should wait and they will tell me…

Friday Afternoon 430pm : Cannot wait already, sent them a mail.

Wait…
Wait…
Wondering what takes them so much time to reply me 1 simple question…
Wait…
Wait…

Friday Night 8pm : Got a reply! They will help me to configure the nameserver, please provide them. Thanks! (although i prefer to access the domain control panel myself)

Friday Night 1030pm : Sent them the nameserver information. Alright! I should be able to setup my website really soon biggrin.gif

Wait…
Wait…
Wondering again… I thought the support is 24 x 7…
Sent them another support mail, stated down all my request again. New ticket logged.
Wait…
Wait…

Friday Midnight 1am : Got reply! Telling me duplicate ticket closed. And asking me to tell him about my inquiry again!
SI PEK TU LAN…
I already stated so many times in all the emails, I even logged 2 different tickets yet I was still asked to explain my inquiry again!

I’m not sure is my expectation too high or what.
But the experience I have with Yahoo domain registration is usually within 12 hours the credit card got through I got access to the control panel and everything to do all the configuration.

But nameserver configuration is pretty simple right?
Why would they spend so much time to get this done.
My High Priority ticket was close and now I still left with a Low Priority ticket opened.

130am, finish writing, don want to wait liao.
Nothing urgent actually. Just not so satisfy with the support provided.
Saja release geram…

Maybe they are busy upgrading their server or cPanel (My other hosting company just upgraded the cPanel)
No offence, but sometimes SMALL THINGS like this you can do it much BETTER.

By the way, that guy I asked him to check back his email what was my inquiry hasn’t reply me yet.
All the best…

Upon few emails exchange, the issue finally resolved.

The important points which I think should be explain to their customer in a clearer picture are,

“Alternatively, you may consider to appoint yourself as technical contact so that you can update the DNS from your end.
Kindly follow the steps as shown at the following website to appoint yourself as the Technical Contact of your domain name so that you are able to update the DNS:
http://support.exabytes.com/index.php?_m=k…kbarticleid=230
Procedure to Update .my DNS
https://support.exabytes.com/index.php?_m=k…kbarticleid=470

Should all these information able to be provided to their customers upon registration completed, non of above will become a topic or issue.

Again, thank you for their support.
